· Taught mixed ability groups of sixth through tenth grade students physical, earth and life science, as well as mathematics, literature, web design, and technology, with a well-rounded knowledge of all appropriate Michigan Benchmarks.
· Crafted integrated science and mathematics curriculum for the entire middle school using backwards design, collaborating with social studies and language arts teachers, guided by a school-wide theme.
· Differentiated instruction based on conceptual understanding and learning style, providing for the range of students from special education to academically gifted by flexibly grouping and scaffolding assignments.
· Formed meaningful, positive relationships with students through daily interactions, attendance at extracurricular activities, and regular communication with families via emails, newsletters, phone calls, and comprehensive reviews.
